Volunteer Requirements
Working with animals can be fun and rewarding, but safety for volunteers and our animals is always a top priority.
Because the animals we take in are often of unknown background or history, and are living under stressful conditions, Hinsdale Humane Society holds a high standard for all volunteers.
- Volunteers must be 18 years of age*
- Volunteers are expected to help assure continuity and consistency by committing to a regular weekly schedule of at least one hour/week or 4 hours/month.
- Volunteers are expected to follow all general guidelines and protocols.
Community service hours are available on a limited basis.
