HHS Community Resources

The goal of our Community Resources program is to help people and pets by nurturing the human-animal bond. We provide Chicagoland community members and first responders with resources, services, and programs that offer basic pet care to help keep pets in their homes. Our program encompasses affordable basic pet care, food pantry services, and connections to other resources.

There are several ways you can help support our various community efforts:

  • Help Stock our Food Pantry

  • For our Leashed Up Movement, our dream is to help our local Police Departments. If provided with enough leash/rope material, we’d like to expand to local Fire Stations since they also encounter stray animal management. Additionally, we’d like to provide leashes at our pet food pantries to help educate the public on why leashing our pets properly is important. If you’d like to get involved or would like to support the Leashed Up Movement, please contact us at info@hinsdalehumanesociety.org.
