Sugar & Spice

Today is Sugar and Spice’s second Gotcha Day. They were known as Barbie and Sadie. It has been a whirlwind two years! They were listed as Great Pyrenees mixes, which they are, and are mixed with Irish Wolfhound. They are huge!!It is hard to walk them, as people stop their cars to ask about them.  There is incessant barking (and howling! It is hilarious!). There is white fur everywhere despite all of the brushing (that’s okay, I just have to buy lighter colored clothes!). I used to have grass in my backyard (less to mow!).

I have done a lot of research about their breeds. I have read about littermate syndrome and how two females will not get along. Not true. They were bonded when we got them and remain so. They love playing together in the yard and taking walks. But afterwards, they are more than ready to take up my whole couch. They are gentle giants. They are so loyal, loving, and smart!  We love them so much! They are loved. Thank you!
