Educating today’s youth about the humane treatment of animals is the link to our future in reducing the pet overpopulation and increasing the quality of pet care. And, teaching students the importance of being humane, environmentally conscious citizens is a worthwhile and rewarding task.
“Pennies for Paws” is an important youth-led program designed to bring Humane Education into school classrooms, while raising money for homeless animals. Join the Hinsdale Humane Society and area schools as we work together to help raise awareness of homeless pets, to educate hundreds of children, and to make a difference in our community.

Collect spare change for the Hinsdale Humane Society and your class could win GREAT PRIZES! Each participating classroom is entered into our drawing for cool, exciting prizes. The classroom that raises the most change will receive a “Pennies for Paws” trophy, a pizza party and tour of Hinsdale Humane Society.
