The Jordan Crist Memorial Externship

The Hinsdale Humane Society, in partnership with West Suburban Veterinary Associates, is excited to announce The Jordan Crist Memorial Externship for veterinary students. Named in memory of Jordan Crist—an exceptional young man who truly cared for the well being of animals—this six-week paid externship is a wonderful opportunity for veterinary students.

The selected candidate will work side-by-side with the excellent doctors and technicians at West Suburban Veterinary Associates in their state-of-the-art animal hospital gaining experience working with their advanced medical equipment, including: digital radiography, ultra-sound, laser, digital dental radiography, laparoscope, and other systems. The candidate will also work one day per week at the Hinsdale Humane Society caring for homeless animals where he/she will learn breed identification, behavior counseling, animal handling skills, temperament assessment, and customer service skills.
