HHS HONORS SPAY/NEUTER MONTH - FEBRUARY, 2012
Help reduce pet overpopulation! Join us as we work together in conjunction with the annual Spay Day USA 2012 National Campaign.
Discount Spay/Neuter Vouchers - (AVAILABLE FEBRUARY 1ST)
HHS will be offering forty $75.00 vouchers to pet owners to use at participating vet clinics to have their pets spayed or neutered at a reduced rate. Vouchers will be distributed from the shelter during regular business hours on a first-come, first-served basis. Pet owners will need to schedule the appointment for surgery during the months of February, March, and April. For more information, call 630-323-5630.
Purchase a "Spay/Neuter Heart" - Feb. 2012
Spay/Neuter Hearts are available in $1.00, $5.00, and $10.00 denominations. Each spay day heart purchased will go toward additional spay/neuter vouchers distributed to area pet owners. Make a donation to the HHS Spay/Neuter Fund and you will be helping support ongoing efforts to reduce pet overpopulation. The hearts will be on display in the HHS lobby. To make a donation online click on the "donate now" button and simply write in the description "spay/neuter heart."

"HHS Bowl for the Animals" Charity Event Willowbrook Lanes, March 3rd, 10:30am -1:30pm. - SIGN UP TODAY!
Join us for an day of bowling, food, prizes, and fun at the HHS Bowl for the Animals event at Willowbrook Lanes, Willowbrook on Saturday, March 3rd from 10:30pm – 1:30pm. The day promises to be a great time for the whole family. And, all proceeds will benefit HHS animals!
Admission is $25 for adults and $15 for children: includes bowling, shoes, food and beverages. A special “Bowl for the Animals” drawing will be held for exciting prizes, gift certificates and baskets. Prize drawing tickets will be sold at the event at $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00.
Looking to win big? Try your luck at our “Split the Pot” cash drawing! The lucky winner will take home some cold hard cash! Split the Pot tickets can be purchased in advance or at the event for $5.00 each for 5 for $20. Winners for both drawings will be announced at the event, Saturday, March 12th at 1:30pm.

"Pennies for Paws" Spare Change Drive 2012
April 16th - May 17, 2012
The Hinsdale Humane Society is hosting a "Pennies for Paws" spare change drive April 16 - May 17, 2012. Join area schools, classrooms, and children to help raise awareness of homeless animals and to make a difference in our community.
Teaching students the importance of being humane, environmentally conscious citizens is a worthwhile and rewarding experience. And, collecting spare change is a great teaching experience for many children.
Sign up your school today and you could win GREAT PRIZES! The classroom that raises the most spare change will receive a trophy, pizza party, and tour of the shelter. And, every classroom that participates will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win great prizes.

Hinsdale Humane Society's Cookbook - Bone Appetit!
Bone Appetit is a taste-tempting cookbook featuring recipes from staff, volunteers, friends, as well as area vet offices, hospitals, and animal related partners. A special section showcasing tasty pet treats is sure to be a favorite.
In addition to the delicious recipes, our cookbook includes several heartwarming and compelling animal adoption stories. The cookbooks are $15 each or if you purchase 5 or more, $12 each and available at the Hinsdale Humane Society.
HHS Community Microchip Day - Tuesday's at HHS
HHS will host a microchip day every Tuesday of each month from 3pm – 7pm. HHS will microchip pets on site at the shelter for a reduced rate of $25 per animal. Microchip services normally run between $40 - $60. Appointments will be scheduled on a first come first serve basis by calling 630-323-5630 x 14.
